Preparing for World of Concrete

Trade shows are an interesting and exciting part of our business. For the salesman it’s a unique opportunity to meet with existing clients, as well as 60k+ NEW perspective clients attending the show. But from an admistrative perspective, it can turn into a logistical nail bitter. For our average trade show, we send 8 sales reps from 3 offices, and 2-3 administrative support members…

Keep in mind that arranging advance plane tickets and hotels is the easy part. We still need to coordinate the setup and strike of our booth display and furnishings…a task that takes hours to arrange and rearrange. You have to keep on your radar the smallest details, from carpeting to badge scanners…all these small details can also take hours.

We always try to have different unique promos for our existing clients that stop by to see us. After arranging dinners and transportation, it can take up to 40 hours of planning for a 4 day show like #WorldOfConcrete.
